The course opened in 2006 and is most well known for its quiet setting as home sites have yet to be started as well as its very limited club house facilities. Enjoy the gentle sloping terrain as the views to the East mountain ranges and Tonto National forest create a remote feel from the hustle and bustle of Scottsdale Road just a few miles away. |
| | | _ | | _ | | | Nick Faldo, winner of three Masters and three British opens, says that this course is not reminiscent of other Arizona layouts, saying that he wants his courses to have rhythm and flow, with more bark than bite. The par 71 layout sits on a 174-acre site, and offers a slight variation from typical Sonoran Desert-theme courses. It features generous fairways, large bent grass greens and tee boxes. The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 106 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.

| | | _ | | _ | | | A desert-style course of championship length (7,170 yards), with generousfairways and large (average size 7,000 square feet), bent-grass greens, the Palmer Course features from four to six tee boxes on every hole, challenging all levels of golfing skill. The 415-yard par 4 6th is Palmer's signature hole, with the beautiful Camelback Mountain as the backdrop.

The 18-hole, par-71 championship course was rated a 4-star resort in the 2004 Golf Digest Edition of Best Places to Play. The Legacy was rated in the Top 50 courses in the U.S. for Customer Service.

| | | _ | | _ | | | The sand bunkers on this course are also much more difficult to get out of due to more pronounced lips around the edges. The Peaks Course features fairways that are fairly restrictive. The greens are flat, medium-sized and easy to putt. Man-made lakes come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #5, a 351-yard, par 4, featuring water hazards coming into play on both sides of the fairway and requiring an approach shot to a twin-tiered green guarded by water on one side.

| | | _ | | _ | | | The Ranch Course at Tonto Verde is a player friendly layout, with wide fairways and ample landing areas that generally provide even lies for lay ups and approaches. The surrounding desert area is cleaned out quite well, allowing for possible recoveries for those willing to risk a shot. Forced carries are few and far in between, and are very reasonable with the longest being about 170 yards from the middle tees. Deep greenside bunkers provide a significant challenge however, as does the length that is required to reach many of the greens in regulation. The putting surfaces are over-sized and generally sloping, placing a premium on pin placement knowledge and execution on approaches.
